Planetary Weather report for October 2013
by Lynn the Astrologer
October is a great time to consider the relationships in your life. Fall is in the air, people are emerging from their air conditioned cocoons, and visiting Peace of Mind on Cherry Street. The Sun is in the zodiac sign of Libra, a sign we associate with sociability, harmony and relationships. It’s also a great time to get a relationship astrology reading at Peace of Mind. Relationship astrology can be as simple as your sun sign or extremely complex. Here are some of the ways I can approach your relationship questions with Vedic astrology:
-Are our Sun signs compatible? I can tell you. But it also helps to know your Moon signs and rising signs, which have to be calculated.
-Unrequited love: sometimes all you need is a yes or know answer. Does this person have even the remotest interest in me? A horoscope cast for the moment (horary) often gives amazingly useful answers.
-Potential of a relationship: two people are starting to get involved but haven’t committed. Are we compatible? What are the pluses and minuses of how our personalities interact? This kind of consultation can be simple or complex. I look at romantic chemistry, practical matters and communications. In Vedic astrology one always pays a great deal of attention to the Moon in both charts because emotions and subconscious motives often make or break a relationship.
-Lack of success in finding or keeping a partner: while I love seeing well-matched couples, let’s face it, people come to me more when there is a problem. I look at the birth chart for personality strengths and difficulties. I also pay a lot of attention to what the stars are doing in your chart right now: is this a temporary issue or a long-term state of affairs? What can I do to increase the odds of attracting an appropriate partner? Vedic astrology has an ancient tradition of planetary remedies which can be helpful.
-The big event: In India, astrologers have helped plan weddings for thousands of years. No wedding is ever perfect, but selecting an auspicious time can improve the odds of decent weather, satisfied guests and a happy start to married life.
I will be away on the first weekend of October, but otherwise I will be at the bookstore every Saturday and other days by appointment.
